Paul shares in Galatians 2:20-21; 20 “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.” This is the definition of a life of surrender to Jesus Christ. We are so submitted to the Lord that the Holy Spirit just flows out of us. We live by faith in the Son of God who gave Himself for us on Calvary. Jesus must be our focus. We must surrender to Him and give up our right to ourselves today. Paul goes on to sternly warn us not to take the credit for God’s work on Calvary and in our lives. If righteousness comes from keeping the law or our own good works, then Christ did not need to die. Your salvation has nothing to do with you. It has everything to do with the sacrifice of Jesus for your sins. Faith opens that gift and gives you power to surrender and have Christ live through you. Submit to the One who has already paid the debt for your sins, and watch Jesus live His life through you today.
