Paul says in Philippians 3:21-21; But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. 21 He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control. Are you eagerly waiting, hoping, and even dreaming about the second coming of Jesus? The hope in the return of Jesus gives strength to the Christian to live daily in this world of sin. Charles Spurgeon shares in this morning’s devotion; “The man who has this hope in him goes about his work with vigor, for the joy of the Lord is his strength.” Seventh-day Adventists are followers of Christ who keep the seventh-day Sabbath and yearn for the second advent of Jesus! Does this hope burn in your heart this morning? If it does not, then something from this dying world is in the way. Talk to the Lord in prayer and let the Spirit show you the barriers that keep you from experiencing this joy and strength in the second coming.
