Paul shares in 2 Corinthians 4; “You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake.” Ellen White writes in today’s devotional Reflecting Christ; “There is a great work to be done in our world. Men and women are to be converted, not by the gift of tongues nor by the working of miracles, but by the preaching of Christ crucified.” How do we preach Christ? Is it reserved for just pastors or preachers? We preach Christ by living Christ in our lives! We wear Christ and His light shines through us. Paul says a little later in this chapter that they are like fragile clay jars filled with the gospel light. The storm is coming early next week, and no one really knows the impact that Dorian will have on our communities. I went to Sam’s Club this morning for water and they needed to bring out security because people were cutting in line and fighting. This world is all about selfish ambition, but we can show Jesus through our acts of kindness and self-sacrifice. Uplift Jesus today as you allow God to fill your clay vessel with the oil of the Holy Spirit.
