Proverbs 21:29 says; “The wicked put up a bold front, but the upright proceed with care.” Another translation reads; “The wicked bluff their way through, but the virtuous think before they act.” A modern term for the action of the wicked is putting on a poker face or a stoic expression that keeps people from knowing their real feelings. If you are in Christ, there is no need for trying to bluff your way through life. God gives you a self-worth as His child and there is no need to put on airs. Many are putting up bold fronts because they only find worth in the praise of others. We don’t need to worry about being praised by people as we are loved by God in Christ! God made us in the womb in His image and He sustains our lives through His daily breath. You are a child of God in Christ! Don’t get caught up in putting on airs for the accolades of others. Be real in Christ and others will see the genuine difference.
