David writes in Psalm 37:7; “Be still in the presence of the Lord and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.” During the most trying times when your human nature cries out to act, David calls us to be still and wait on the Lord! It is difficult to wait on the Lord when the enemy is attacking us with trials from every side. The Children of Israel were trapped between Pharaoh’s army and the Red Sea when Moses said; “Don’t be afraid. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.” The Red Sea parted, and the Children of Israel walked on dry ground to safety while their enemy was destroyed in collapsing water. Are you feeling trapped with the pressures of this world? Maybe you are anxious and have a hard time waiting on the Lord. Trust in His power and wait for Him to deliver you in His time and in His way.
