James 2:17 says; So, you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless. James brings the gospel to action in his letter. He mentions the importance of having a bridled tongue, being quick to listen and slow to speak, and the danger of playing favorites especially as it relates to the rich and the poor. The world needs to see the gospel in our words and actions. God’s love is not just for us, it is for us to share with the world. God has saved you in Christ; now live out that salvation in others! Surrender to the Lord and let Him cleanse your sin by the blood of Jesus. Receive the Holy Spirit everyday and watch how He will flow like a spring of living water into others in your sphere of influence. Our church promotes justice in our community for those who have no voice and we exercise benevolence through our community service ministry to the poor because God calls us to live our salvation. God bless all of us on the journey of faith that works.
