Psalm 56:12-13 says; “I will fulfill my vows to you, O God, and will offer a sacrifice of thanks for your help. For you have rescued me from death; you have kept my feet from slipping. So now I can walk in your presence, O God, in your life-giving light.” David recognized that God delivered him from his enemies and had delivered him from his own sins. David had many troubles in his life and quite a few were a result of his own mistakes. David repented and always kept close to God and the Lord protected him from falling off the righteous path. David’s response to God’s deliverance was the act of giving and vows of sacrifice. Have you made vows to the Lord? Take an inventory of how He has provided for you spiritually and with your possessions. Respond by giving back of your time, talents, and treasure for God’s kingdom today.
