Isaiah 2:18 shares; “Come now, let’s settle this,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.” The context of this passage is that Judah was going through the motions of attending church and giving sacrifices and offerings, but they were not following God’s law. Isaiah called them in the previous verse to wash their sin, seek justice, and take care of the poor and oppressed. The answer to doing God’s will is in verse 18. We come to God in Christ and confess our sins and He will cleanse us by the blood of the Lamb and make us white as snow. God’s fix for sin is the blood of Jesus Christ. God saved us in Christ 2000 years ago. Our confession of sin and reasoning with God allows us to experience by faith that salvation which brings cleansing and peace. Are you allowing God to settle the sin in your life through the blood of Jesus? The Lord is calling you to come to Him and be cleansed of sin and its guilt. We then can be filled with the fruit of the Spirit, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Let Jesus into Your life today.
