Hebrews 2:18 says; “Since He (Jesus) himself has gone through suffering and testing He is able to help us when we are being tested.” Jesus was both the Son of God and the Son of Man. John says in his gospel that the “Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” Jesus was 100 percent human and 100 percent divine. He laid aside His role as Son of God and lived as the Son of Man in human flesh living a life of surrender to the Father. Jesus struggled with temptations as evidenced by Satan tempting Him in the wilderness and the temptation of walking away from taking the cup of the second death in Gethsemane. Jesus cried out to the Father, “If it is Your will, take this cup from me; yet not My will, but Yours be done.” Jesus’ struggles are our victory. We can go to Jesus who the author of Hebrews shares is our great High Priest and Advocate in heaven. Jesus shared that the only way to the Father was and is through Him. Praise God we have an Advocate who understands all our earthly situations. Don’t wait, take your burdens to Jesus, for He understands and will help you through anything today.
