The Apostle Paul shares in Ephesians 6:18; “Pray at all times and on every occasion in the power of the Holy Spirit. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all Christians everywhere.” This follows the call for us to put on the full armor of God to protect us from the arrows of Satan as we move forward as soldiers the kingdom. Our greatest weapon is prayer. Prayer places us in communion with the God of this universe. Paul call us to continual and persistent prayer for others. Why do we need to be persistent in our prayers of intercession when God already has plans laid out for our lives? Persistent prayer bolsters our faith and keeps us communing with the Father through Jesus Christ. We benefit as much if not more than those we pray for because we are perpetually and persistently spending time with God! Be persistent in your intercession for others and watch your own spiritual life flourish in the Lord.
